the brooms were out

September 24th, 2008 by Lance

Last night the Dodgers pulled out the brooms and swept the laughable Cubs in 3 games. It might have been 20 years for LA to get a series win but those poor Cubs, 100 years w/o a ring. I almost feel sorry for them but what can you say…

Dodger Stadium was packed with 56k fans reads to see the sweep and they weren’t disappointed. I was glad seeing Casey Blake come through this series.

Now to head off to Philly to see what can be done.

Old 97′s at the House of Blues SD

June 21st, 2008 by Lance

On June 20th I made it down to San Diego for the 3rd anniversary of their House of Blues. Rhett Miller and company were on top of their game and put on a hell of a show.

They played more than half of Blame It on Gravity, and even included Come Around from Rhett’s solo album The Instigator.

Also, I was lucky enough to find a new artist as Hayes Carll put on a great set.

Butch Walker – Hotel Cafe Benefit

December 18th, 2007 by Lance

Last night Butch put on a benefit show (his house burned down in Malibu) and there were plenty of great artist. Jim Bianco being a new fav put on a great set and Pink joined Butch for a few songs as well.

butch walker @ the troubadour

September 9th, 2007 by Lance

Butch put on a hell of a show at the Troubadour on Saturday night. The only downfall was my buddy Matt getting us kicked out after throwing his beer bottle down.

Good news was an Australian girl I met called me on my drive home to let me listen to the remainder of the show.
